The criteria that has been in place for new 2LDs is that they are for a distinct community of interest. So far only two communities of interest have applied in four years - bankers and the NZ Maori Internet Society (whoops actually there was an informal application from Cliff Pratt on behalf of all the Cliffs in NZ!). If other communities of interest apply there would be no barriers beyond the steps taken as part of the policy process which apply to all applications. Hello there, I was just wondering if somebody on this list would be able to guide me as to how I could implement QoS on my Cisco 2503 Router? What we need: We have several boxes colocated with us. However, we currently don't have a system in place that implements bandwith quotas on them. We need this so that we can limit down all the machines to 256k. Please let me know, if anybody knows any handy tutorials on the net? Hi Folks Just a quick heads up - yesterday on Citylink we had the customer of an ISP perform a very effective DOS on that ISP when the customer put the IP number of the ISP's router on to the Citylink interface of their own router. Any ISP who has a Cisco router attached to a public L2 infrastructure (such as Citylink) really needs to read the Cisco advisory: http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/707/IOS-arp-overwrite-vuln-pub.shtml and take the appropiate precautions.
