Dear Colleague, This is to notify you that some object(s) in NZRR database which you either maintain or are listed as to-be-notified have been added, deleted or changed. These objects are used to configure the various NZIX route servers (http://nzix.net/) so you can expect the relevant servers to be reloaded in the near future. This is not the first time they have been down recently. I have seen several of these messages over the past 2 weeks and it has been getting rather annoying. I just rang them and they informed me that they are making upgrades to there system to make a better overall experience for there users and it will be back up at 6pm LOL! Regards, Ben

Kiwibank online banking site offline

The Kiwibank online banking site has been offline for some time now, due to a 'technical issue': https://www.kiwibank.co.nz/banking/login.asp It's hard to imagine a technical issue requiring several days downtime. Anyone know what's going on there? Cheers Jonathon

Any XTRA Mail Server Admins available?

We've been seeing the same 300KB message resend through our servers every few seconds for the last 18 hours (3500 messages so far) from the XTRA mail servers. Can someone that has the ability to resolve this, contact me off-list? Just got a phish for BankDirect. The telling part: "<a href="http://www.bankdlrect.co.nz/index_secure.asp" >" - notice the 'l' where the I should be. Hopefully as this is inside .nz DNS we can get this one shut down quickly. Olfrygt - a word for the NZNOG lexicon

An article in this weekend's Dom Post talked about words in other languages which don't have a direct equivalent in English. The Danes have "olfrygt" - the fear arising from a lack of beer.
