Telecom Recursive Name Servers

Telecom would like to announce our new recursive name servers. During December this year we will be moving our new recursive name servers into production. There will be a migration of traffic to these servers over time. This will mean recursive traffic will start to be seen from the following IP addresses: 219.88.186.149 219.88.186.150 219.88.187.149 219.88.187.150 However the IP address's of the new servers are as follows: ns1.xtra.co.nz 122.56.237.1 ns2.xtra.co.nz 210.55.111.1 PLEASE NOTE: These new resolvers will only be available to Telecom customers. This migration will mean that recursive traffic from our old servers will start to decline from December, the majority of these requests would have been seen from: 202.27.184.100 If you have any specific questions please post them to this list and I will do my best to answer them. New Telecom IP Ranges

Telecom would like to announce the use of several new IP ranges: 115.188.0.0/16 122.59.0.0/16 122.60.0.0/16 122.61.0.0/16 122.62.0.0/16 125.238.0.0 /16 125.236.128.0/18 122.58.192.0 /18 These ranges are for Broadband and XT connections and as such you may wish to add them to any rules/acl's that you have in place for Telecom broadband and XT IP addresses. These ranges will start to be used in December this year. While we have your attention we would also like to re-advertise our XT Mobile Network ranges as posted here http://list.waikato.ac.nz/pipermail/nznog/2009-July/015614.html and to update them: 222.153.223.40/29 222.153.223.32/29 122.56.192.0/20 122.56.208.0/21 115.189.128.0/17 122.56.216.0/22 122.56.220.0/23 These ranges are used in a number of ways, if you would like more information please read this http://www.geekzone.co.nz/NealR/6460. GST Question for sending things to NZ from AU

Hey all, We have a customer in NZ, and we sold them a router for a site in Auckland. I think they paid for it via their Australian bank account - which means they paid Australian GST. We shipping it to NZ via TNT. What I am wondering is - when it lands in NZ, do they again have to pay NZ GST? When I buy things from say - Singapore, I pay it ex-GST and then Fedex demands the GST before they release it to me here. Is it the same with NZ? Should we have sold it to them ex-GST in Australia because the router is leaving the country? _______________________________________________________________________ Application for India NIR - Call for Comments _______________________________________________________________________ The National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) has lodged an application for recognition as a National Internet Registry (NIR). If recognized as an NIR, NIXI would be able to offer IP (Internet Protocol) address allocation and other APNIC services at a national level in India. In the interests of openness and transparency, the APNIC Executive Council (EC) requests public review of the NIXI application and has issued a Call for Comments to gauge community support. The EC will accept public or confidential comments until Monday, 30 November 2009 at 17:30 (UTC+10 - Brisbane time). Confidential comments may be: - Emailed to the Executive Secretary of the EC at exec-sec(a)apnic.net - Submitted using the web form at http://www.apnic.net/NIR_Comments Comments may also be made publicly and discussed on the "apnic-talk" mailing list. These were: - 175/8 - 182/8 Reachability and routability testing is now complete and exceeds 96% for all prefixes. APNIC will soon be allocating from these prefixes. Please update your routing filters and network configurations accordingly.
