Dear Colleague, This is to notify you that one or more objects in which you are designated for notification have been modified in the NZRR routing registry database. These objects are used to configure the various NZIX route servers (http://nzix.net/) so you can expect the relevant servers to be reloaded in the near future. The reloading of the servers is staggered over a period of time so that if you are peering with both servers at an exchange, you can maintain at least one BGP session at all times and consequently a full set of routes. Nominees do not have to be representatives of members, but only APNIC members may nominate and vote for candidates. The EC positions up for reelection are Kuo Wei Wu, Kusumba Sridhar, Mao Wei, and Ming-Cheng Liang. Nominations must be made using the online nomination form: http://meetings.apnic.net/elections/nominate.html The election will be held at APNIC 27 on Friday, 27 Febrary 2009. Wellington Power Outage

Just to show some solidarity, there is a power outage currently in parts of Wellington. NEC house (Manners/Taranaki) and the WCC/Library building are affected. The information I have just states it was cut due to a Transformer issue and are stating up to 4 hours before it is restored. -JoelW

The New Zealand Network Operators' Group The New Zealand Network Operators' Group (NZNOG) has no king, president or formal membership. It consists of the subscribers to this mailing list. The group is intended to facilitate discussion among operators of networks in New Zealand on matters relevant to network operators as described in the list's Acceptable Use Policy.
