Hi all; I'm thinking of starting an SDN users group in Wellington (meeting approx once a month). To save time, especially the time of those that have no interest, there would be a modest entry requirement - members would have to demonstrate a working SDN device to participate. If you assert that it's not possible so sorry to trouble you - you won't hear from me again. :-) If you would be interested in such a group please send me mail directly - we are fortunate to have a number of research activities ongoing in NZ and I invite your participation. 12 minute blips?

Anyone else seeing a drop in traffic every 12 minutes today? I'm seeing it on domestic hits going in to both my POPs. The Pop that is datacom->Orcon is seeing it a worse than the Telstraclear connected one. Underwater exchange

I'm getting farmed off by a support desk for some connection issues into the Orcon datacentre. They claim there's a telecom exchange underwater up that way and that's why they are having issues. Sounds very fishy as I'm not aware of any other issues. They can't provide details. Sent from my iPhone

Hazard Notification - ntp3.ntp.net.nz unreachable due to power shut down

To the NZNOG Community: NZRS would like to inform that ntp3.ntp.net.nz will be unreachable from Friday May 3rd at 4:00pm until Monday May 6th at 8:00am due to power work being carried out in the building where it's located. Although backup power is available for the computer room, the planned work exceeds the generator's autonomous runtime, so we've decided to shut the power down for the duration of the event. ntp1.ntp.net.nz and ntp2.net.ntp.nz will continue to work as usual. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
