Dear Colleague, This is to notify you that one or more objects in which you are designated for notification have been modified in the NZRR routing registry database. These objects are used to configure the various NZIX route servers (http://nzix.net/) so you can expect the relevant servers to be reloaded in the near future. The reloading of the servers is staggered over a period of time so that if you are peering with both servers at an exchange, you can maintain at least one BGP session at all times and consequently a full set of routes. This year it is being held in Auckland, but as I am sure you have all registered by now (and if you haven't, head over to http://2009.nznog.org/register ), I'm now seeking interest for lightning talks. Lightning talks are very short 5-10 minute talks on a wide range of topics. It is a good opportunity to get your pet topic out there or perhaps to get some experience with presenting without having to do a full talk. This year we are aiming to have two separate sessions, one for general lightning talks, and one for IPv6 related talks while we run the IPv6 hour. Hi All, Below is the announcement of the Dragon Research Group. Forwarding this message to the NZNOG list in case anyone is interested. :::: In close cooperation with Team Cymru, Dragon Research Group is announcing the launch of a new volunteer research organization dedicated to further understanding online criminality and providing actionable intelligence for the benefit of us all. The Dragon Research Group is a 'not for profit' entity and as envisioned will be comprised of a geographically dispersed set of trusted volunteers who are passionate about making the Internet more secure. Start up resources will be donated by Team Cymru but DRG will rely on donations from other organizations in the future. To meet its intended purpose, there will be a rigorous vetting procedure but selected applicants will become part of a group that will have access to the data and tools to really make a difference in the fight against online crime. The secure infrastructure is already in place and we're currently finalizing some of the procedural details. Please expect a formal launch announcement in the near future. Dear Colleague, This is to notify you that one or more objects in which you are designated for notification have been modified in the NZRR routing registry database. These objects are used to configure the various NZIX route servers (http://nzix.net/) so you can expect the relevant servers to be reloaded in the near future. The reloading of the servers is staggered over a period of time so that if you are peering with both servers at an exchange, you can maintain at least one BGP session at all times and consequently a full set of routes.
