Hi guys, we currently have a problem where one of our client has have switched their dns mail and hosting over to us, but the monkeys they were with before had set the TLL at 7 days.
Is there anyway to speed up the process and flush those cached values?
No, which is a pity, as an early cache invalidation protocol is something DNS could do with.
That client has of course just done send some publicity out :-)
PS: The domain in question is thereef.co.nz.
Well then, on the old webserver, just make the index page redirect to the new webservers IP address (not name). You may need to modify the webserver config, esp. if its using virtual servers. -- Cameron Kerr cameron.kerr(a)paradise.net.nz : http://nzgeeks.org/cameron/ Empowered by Perl!
