Speaking of the stablity of different IOS versions, we have a 3640 with 12.0(4)T on it that needs rebooting after about 7 weeks of uptime. Starts spamming the console port with memory allocation failures, although still manages to route stuff.
It's not a particullarly odd setup, just routing between a couple of FE ports, but we are using dynamic packet filtering on it, ala "permit ... reflect outbound".
Ring any bells for anyone? Couldn't see anything that jumped out at me in the later release notes, and wasn't keen on an upgrade just to "try it out"..
Sure, 12.0x is really immature right now and full of bugs. Try the most recent 12.0x release and see if that makes your problems go away. Experience says release start to get usable around about '10 and stable about '16 or so -- so you still have a while to wait. -cw --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog
