Note to the person suggesting using a cellphone. SMS modems use a pretty standardised AT command set and you talk to them just like you would to a modem. Cellphones AFAIK usually have proprietory interfaces.
The Nokia we use presents a standard Hayes compatible modem interface (AT commands etc), and this is fairly common. As you say though, some older/cheaper cellphones present a proprietary interface. -- -Michael Fincham Unleash Technology Solutions
