Hi Team, Thanks for all the responses today. Apologies to those who I managed to offend with a quip, it wasn't my intention. FYI, for those who care :) ... APNIC - I've logged into myapnic and updated the whois information. I also added a geolocation tag for Christchurch. I didn't know you could tag whois with geocode, the range already had a location field set. I've also changed the description to provide a bit more useful context. (Apnic team, if you're reading, I can't fault your helpdesk! :) :) A very helpful lady who was very patient with me, helped to set up a registration correctly, we had done it wrong and got quite confused.) MINDMAX - I've put in a request to update the location of the range. I see they think it's in the USA currently. MEDIA WORKS - I did ping off an email to them but haven't seen a response. That’s how we contacted them. Was quick and easy with both companies (and I’ve found Maxmind to be the same). It’s probably more straightforward if you own the addresses – so assuming you don’t, maybe you should ask whoever does to resolve it.

IMO if you're operating an ISP/RSP in New Zealand and you want your customers to access NZ based GeoIP locked services then the onus is on you to ensure the relevant providers whitelist your prefixes. Maxmind and other GeoDBs are only as accurate as the data they're fed

I've had to contact both Mediaworks & TVNZ in the past over this and found them pretty responsive it getting it sorted
