Taking a different view entirely - if you ARE required to maintain logs of something that perhaps you aren't too keen to be secure or reliable, like, say, P2P transfers of commercial music.... Do you think that storing the logs on a ramdisk on a machine with no UPS, running win95a - would get you in any actual trouble?
