Yes, Cisco IOS has an option to define argentinian signialing as the country to use and i defined it in my configuration.

Well I do know for a fact that r2 signaling in argentina is slightly
different than the standard. Lucent have even gone so far as to add the
"argentinian" signaling type as an option in their maxes and tnt's so it
must be enough different to warrant this.
If it keeps going to sleep then it most likely is an issue like this. Have
you checked ciscos site to see if they have an "argentinian" option like
the maxes?
