Excellent, good stuff Jethro (pun intended).
Great to see what's arguably* the first major NZ site start advertising
quad As.

Giving NZNOG a heads up incase your customers encounter any issues,
particularly given our size/popularity. Naturally things on our end are
perfect, but uh, if you happen to see any ?unexpected routing features?
please feel free to reach out to myself. Note that our IPv6 connectivity is
provided by the Akamai CDN network.

Hi All.

Does anyone here know what the LFC's are doing for LI on dark fibre? I think most will be some kind of splitter but one LFC is talking about using a 50/50 split introducing 3db of loss into each leg and I'd like to get an idea of what the others are doing. Normally I'd look at the CFH tech specs but LI on DFAS came after them and there's no reference in the agreements

Cheers :)

Hey,

I've heard stories of Citylink having issues on wholesale'd Chorus DFAS
circuits in the past where the splitter / LI / monitor circuit was bodged
and caused too much attenuation resulting link problems...

Though I haven't ever experienced any issues on my Auckland DFAS circuits.

Would be interested to see some actual spec on this if someone can dig it
up.

Cheers

Liam
