Hi There :)
We are having some major issues over the past week when forwarding mail to xtra. Mainly:
- delivery temporarily suspended: connect to mta.xtra.co.nz - connect to mta.xtra.co.nz[210.54.141.1]: server dropped connection without sending the initial SMTP greeting
Has anyone seen any of these issues and knows anything about them?
Yes. I do a bit of mail to Xtra each day, and notice that roughly 1 in 6 connection attempts are refused. I originally noticed that this happened when sending a `newsletter' type email (solicited opt-in) out last Tuesday (I think), so wrote it off as some kind of anti-spam thing. I notice that when I telnet (tried just now) to mta.xtra.co.nz on port 25 it refuses roughly 1 in 6 times.
I just trying to contact XTRA's administrators, but no response. I have had a good response back from the corporate side of XTRA, which is assuring.
What is the response from the corporate side? You mention that it is `good', but yet you still feel a need to `escalate' to the list? -- Nathan Ward
