You didn't answer my questions about what sort of physical ethernet interface it has (thick or thin), whether it talks TCP/IP, or whether you've got a Unix for it. And I'll add to that a question about RSTS...
it has AUI. the real ethernet. Sorry no *ix for it, nor RSTS. I mainly did real time stuff and that meant RSX or RT-11 (which is what MS-DOS was modelled on, not to confuse with the IBM-360-DOS, or the many other DOS's out there in those days. Add TSX to RT-11 and you have a good clone of RSTS. It has a similar multi login thingy per terminal like Linux . Oh theres more... DRV-11 - parallel interface - if you like building stuff or doing nuclear device testing Analog devices isolated input A/D converter several serial devices (synch) several serial devices (asynch) with modem controls. And no, I'm not parting with my industrial-11 (aka PDP-11/05) front panel with the flashing lights. there were only two of those in NZ if that. rich - To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog
