I know everyone must be sick of hearing about The Adventures of 'Net4U' and it at one point, became some what of a Soap. But bare with me (and sorry if this is OT) as I think these two things need to be discussed openly - if they haven't been already (in which case I need to visit the NZNOG Archives).
1. Apart from "Pay your Bill on Time" what can an Individual or Company learn from Net4U's mistake(s)?
That you get what you pay for. I do believe Net4U VISPs knew what they were letting themselves in on given the large amount of publicity in the past but gambled that it would be OK nevertheless.
2. How can such things be prevented in the future, so that VISP's and customers are left High and Dry. Do measures need to be taken to prevent or minimize the damage created by such things?
Yes, "due diligence". -- Juha
