For the interested; in 2013 only 5% of NZ internet connections were dialup based [1].

At what point is a NTU stack consisting of an opposing dialup USB modem, a raspberry pi, and a cheap UMTS phone/dongle a viable option?

Thanks,
Jed.

Hi

Vaguely operational.

Telecom have announced their Dial IP service will be retired on Dec 1 this year.

Are any ISPs on this list intending on still offering dial-up after this date? Maybe using their own modem banks or via the TelstraVodahugClearDice equivalent service?

Feel free to reply on or off list.

Cheers
