work it hurts to have it pulled out now =)
I agree with that sentiment 100%, and I hope it serves to illustrate
why my initial post had many more points about things like
Site location and security
Personnel Security
etc etc etc
Please don't confuse discussing key length with being solely
focussed on it.

A security process is only as strong as it's weakest link and if
you have a nice strong chain overall there's no point forging
one particularly massive link somewhere along the way just
because you happened to have surplus steel or you think it makes
the chain look intimidating.
