That's a very good question and one I don't have an answer to... The ComCom has a couple of discussion papers and details on the conference here: http://www.comcom.govt.nz/high-speed-broadband-services-demand-side-study but have said they don't see peering as being an issue in need of discussion with regard to uptake of the UFB. I'm not so sure - keen to understand how peering works today and what plans are in place for changes (good or bad) under UFB (if any at all - it may just be business as usual). On a side note, I'm presenting at the Commerce Commission conference on demand issues with regard to the UFB and note the ComCom has decided that peering isn't an issue - any/all input on that matter would be gratefully received.
