I just can't see how some companies can charge NZ $80-$100 a year Perhaps they offer a lot of value added services?
IMO there are far too many people in this country wanting to do everything 'cheap' and then whine when it isn't available 24/7. For example: relying on an email address such as me(a)somebigisp.co.nz for their business which supposedly can't survive if the email goes down for a day. These people should be considering a service where they get their own domain name and email hosting such that they can move it all if they have problems with their provider (which is less likely if they pay more for the service in the first place). Lets face it - if your email is that important to your business then why wouldn't you pay a little more for the reliability of delivery? I do agree though that for those of us who manage their own servers and services $30+ a year seems steep for a simple dns name registration, although the costs/options have come down since a few years ago. -- Regan ##################################################################################### This e-mail message has been scanned for Viruses and Content and cleared by MailMarshal #####################################################################################
