I can just see what will happen. A player will enter the market for acoustic IP transmission between two short range parabolic dishes with Government assistance, a monopoly will form, other players won't be able to freely enter the market, regulation will be formed, and decades of strife will happen. Save NZ now! :-) -----Original Message----- From: J S Russell [mailto:jsr(a)jsr.com] Sent: Wednesday, 23 January 2008 9:17 a.m. To: Nathan Ward Cc: nznog Subject: Re: [nznog] Perry's NZNOG'08 IP-over-something challenge! Some old accoustic couplers, with appropriately tinkered mic and speaker i/o, would probably work nicely. It'd probably take longer to hack up some sort of token handler or synced timing system in order to handle who's sending into and who's recieving from the shared audio "media" at any given time - this'd obviously be required for duplex connectivity.
