I would rather make my own arrangements to filter material from the list, and would appreciate assistance with a procmail recipe template to remove such postings. My feeling is that /ignore is a better tool than /ban and as soon as attention stops being paid to these individuals and there is little or no reward they will move on. Granting some kind of "victory" by closing the list seems to me to be positive reinforcement, and with our addresses seemingly already available (the test message I received for instance, and the archive(s)) closing the list may be a barn door exercise, particularly if we erect an exciting challenge. Finally there are those vast majority who have caused no problem who will be, albeit minorly, inconvenienced in the closure approach to the behavioural problems of a microscopic minority.
