99% -- is that all you are required to provide? As someone near me pointed out thats over 85 hours per year or 1h40m per week you could be down... ouch.
Chris, I would have to consult the contract to confirm the figure, but I do think we've far exceeded it (without gathering numbers, a licked putting a finger in the air). All of this uptime agreement stuff gets quite political quite quickly, so I'm going to keep out of it. But : The DNS servers have built in redundancy (unless you hardware your lookup to hit one server in particular). The registry data only goes into effect once a day (at around 4:00pm when the zone build kicks off) Which leads me to believe that it's really all about the timely confirmation of applications to register or change a domain.(ick, sounds like Manager speak....)
