Michael and all, Thank you for the acalaid, but it was not deserved. I was eluding to your assertion in response to Andy's name calling post to your dislike for that sort of nonsense. I agreed to part of your original response in that proposing a proposal in comparison ot in stead of what is currently being proposed is much better than just name calling, as Andy did towards you ( now twice). But Andy was also correct in that deploying a personal filter to those sorts of persistent "Name Callers" on ML that Andy seem to haunt, is also a very good suggestion as well. Hi all,
Jeff has raised a very good point. I would like to apologise to the people organising the conference for making a comment without also providing an idea/contribution.
My idea is this:
There is many people on the list, and few who are contributing in regards to the conference. My non-contributing is not through apathy or disinterest, but rather because I am happy with learning whatever someone else cares to contribute to a conference. Eg: I have no preferences myself on subject. My idea is that the people who have lots to discuss and ideas, do so in private, and then come back with a list, which we can vote on. The reasoning behind this is that the "ideas" get discussed (And voted on?) at a piticular point in time, rather then ongoing where things could get involved and ideas/contributions can be forgotten/misplaced.
Best regards,

Michael and all,
Micheal, I am in part in agreement with you. However deploying your own Mail filters to keep your inbox clear of the "Andy Gardners" of the internet ML's is a very good suggestion. However debating the issue endlessly is a bit over the top and your suggestion of coming up with a proposal different than what is being considered that others can get behind is also a good suggestion that you provided as well.

However I am somewhat sick and tired of the large amount of E-Mail this has generated in my inbox. (30+ messages per day).
I would anticipate attending the conference to learn more about something, however I would prefer that the minority who wish to have a protracted debate on what this "something" is could do so in private, and then when they have made their mind up- then send the ideas to the list. Any comments?
Take a chill pill, or learn what mail filters are for.
If you can't handle deleting 30 mail messages a day, you're a GIRL.
