Yes to (a), (b) (windows 13,14,15,16,17,18) - unless you are thinking of multiple antennae! and (c).
Remembering of course that most of the cost is for international transit rather than the gear. However I'm sure that between us that wouldn't be a problem :))
I have already tested a Lucent Orinocco ROR1000 to my home (Bastion point) from the Sky Tower, Lvl 48 with great success.
Don't forget the cost of the rental of window space for the antenna as well!
Right, well the way I figured it would work is that one of us (me, I guess) can configure up a zebra box to advertise IP's domestically, and basically everyone can sort out their own IP's and Intl. transit. Basically I was thinking a big arse LAN so that we can have good quake games and the like :) Mr Robb, how much did your Airo stuff set you back, or was it a freebee? I think the idea is to try and get window space that covers as much as possible to the south (I think) of the sky tower, as that's where most people live and covers areas such as Ponsonby, Mt. Eden, Balmoral, etc. To be honest, I am not really that familiar with wireless LAN products, but it was just an idea - certainly a lot better than everyone having to get ADSL or Ultra. If someone who knows more about how wireless stuff works can jump in and help me figure out what we need to be done, etc. Also, basically can anyone who would be interested email me privately, and tell me what part of Auckland you live in, then I'm sure within a few weeks we can come back with some information about how much it's going to cost and who will be able to recieve it.
