I am planning to present my Masters Thesis in Person to the Select Comittie.
I have been following the review process since 2002, and a significant
portion of my thesis is analysis of the Public Submissions to the Drafts.
If you would like to contact me off list as this is very much not an NOG
topic I would be interested in hearing your thoughts. I however will
represent only my own opinion as formed through research rather than that of
an organization such as FSF
Kind regards

Hi all,
As you hopefully know, New Zealand's patent legislation is being changed: http://theyworkforyou.co.nz/bills/patents/2009/may/05/first_reading "...The bill proposes that software should be patentable..."
I'm building a wiki for FSF's End Software Patents campaign, and I'd like to gather info to assist anti-swpat campaigns in NZ: http://en.swpat.org/ http://en.swpat.org/wiki/New_Zealand
But, I'm living in Europe, so someone recommended this group as a starting point. I know it's a tech list, but maybe I can find the sort of people who are concerned about tech policy. So, can anyone point me to websites I should read, people I should contact, or people I should inform?
Thanks in advance, sorry for the OT email. -- Ciarán O'Riordan, +32 487 64 17 54, http://ciaran.compsoc.com/
