There are a number of 'modem-over-soundcard' programs for Amateur Radio which would probably do the job. A lot of the HAM radio digital modes are designed to work on the 40 or 80 meter band which has all kinds of odd multipath phase and fading effects, and almost constant adjacent-channel interference.
