They will ask them al ot of questions, and advise them that using xtras smtp server is the best way to do it, but... eventually they will unblock...
That is... if the customer has a good relationship with Xtra / Telecom (spend $$$) :D
You only need to spend enough money with Xtra to have a DSL account. http://www.xtra.co.nz/port25 Follow the instructions in the bit on 'opting out'. This is a bit easier than talking to Xtra on the phone, or getting the client to do so, as long as you can get hold of their account name/password :)
