SG and Perth; which is typically by about 10-30ms the fastest route from Sydney to SG (much more for southern and western AU cities). Expect it to be down for a long time due to the challenges of dealing with the Indonesian government. Typically 8-12 weeks. SMW3 breaks are an annual thing. Due to the high per mbit cost of SMW3 and its location, I don’t think that Akamai would have been pushing all that much over it – particularly without a diverse path. Am told it’s causing slowdowns with Akamai, making Apple users unhappy.
