I'm currently waiting on Orcon to provide native v6 on their connections, in the mean time making do with a 6to4 tunnel that ends up on FX Networks. The main problem at the moment is a lack of a CPE that properly supports IPv6, my attempts to build custom firmware for BCM63xx modems has been largely thwarted for now by Dynalink/Netcomm's failure to provide proper board definitions in their GPL released source code (it boots, but doesn't identify the board properly) If anyone wants to donate their old ADSL2+ (preferably Broadcom based, working or bricked) modems to the cause, please email me offlist. The resulting firmwares will be made available to all. Hi List,
I am looking at moving ISPs because of the recent standing of my current ISP with regards to IPv6. In a nutshell, I was informed that they will not support/give out IPv6 until they have used up the current IPv4 allocations......"great"
So now I am hunting an ISP, with at least some decent phone plans and that supports IPv6, even if it's part of a beta plan. That cuts out xnet/wxc :(
I find it hard to believe that we are so close to IPv6 day and we only have one ISP in NZ that will give out native IPv6....
I know this is more of a technical list, but I don't know where else to turn. Google search came up blank :(
Thanks,
