I run a fixed wireless network and can tell you windows 10 is not causing a problem at all.

Our speeds and backhauls are no where near what UFB fibre is capable of, so I find it hard to believe.

However it is possible that larger ISPs may not have capacity between cities to feed the local handovers but thats not something I can really give much advice on.

Subject: [nznog] Win10 downloads causing UFB congestion?

Hello NZNOG,

I was reading this:

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/news/article.cfm?c_id=3&objectid=11495508

just now, which says the Windows 10 upgrade is overwhelming capacity on the UFB (which bit of it?).

Its a single source however, and I was wondering if there are other data points for the traffic increase to look at?

Not sure if this is operational as such, so please email me off-list if so.

Thanks
