Would you like to advance your professional career through the development of new Web-based skills? Simon Fraser University in partnership with TELEStraining has developed an innovative and exciting online program to teach participants how to design, produce, and teach online courses. The Certificate in Web-Based Instruction (CWI) combines both conceptual and technical skills for teaching and learning online. Participants learn to create their own online courses using a delivery platform of choice after examining various commercial and open source systems. The program uses conferencing, chat, video, video, and mail to cover current eLearning topics. A maximum of 20 participants supported by 2 instructors will work in an online collaborative environment. On Friday, December 12th at 11:00-11:30 pm PST (GMT -08:00) there will be a Webcast featuring the instructors of the Certificate in Web-Based Instruction (CWI). Participants of the Webcast can interact with the instructors and ask questions about this 24-week program offered entirely online.
