I too have had the matter raised with me. I'll go back to complainant and tell them this although by then he'll probably have moved on.
Another issue is whether we should lobby Parliament for specific statute law banning spam? Up until now I have not thought it is necessary as every ISP I know of in NZ (possible exception of world-net?) bans spammers, but if NZers have easy access to overseas ISPs then maybe it is worthwhile? Opinions welcome.
Does anyone know how effective the US laws banning junk faxes and spam are? If there's a model that actually works I'd be more happy to support it's introduction than if we have to start from the ground up.
