Hi,
Posting here because xtra staff say they have no systems admins :))
I can't access these sites or send mail to telecom.co.nz, whitepages.co.nz or yellowpages.co.nz. all 3 names have similar problems
*useful info snipped* Note that Xtra don't run any of the *.telecom.co.nz machines, so chances are that the Xtra Operations staff who are likely to be on this list won't have much input into the Telecom side of things. However its funny because as I opened this, I was opening www.whitepages.co.nz at the same time. I did however take a quick look at the DNS: ;; Answer received from 127.0.0.1 (101 bytes) ;; ANSWER SECTION (2 records) telecom.co.nz. 27m33s IN NS ish2.telecom.co.nz. telecom.co.nz. 27m33s IN NS ish1.telecom.co.nz. ;; QUESTION SECTION (1 record) telecom.co.nz. IN NS Interesting that the NS records present in the telecom.co.nz zonefile differ with the info presented via whois - this would be a 'bad thing' (tm) I'm guessing. However... ;; Answer received from 127.0.0.1 (154 bytes) ;; ANSWER SECTION (1 record) www.whitepages.co.nz. 31m16s IN CNAME whitepages.co.nz. ;; AUTHORITY SECTION (2 records) whitepages.co.nz. 31m16s IN NS alien.xtra.co.nz. whitepages.co.nz. 31m16s IN NS terminator.xtra.co.nz. ;; QUESTION SECTION (1 record) www.whitepages.co.nz. IN ANY Indicating that the Telecom NS system has nothing to do with your ability (or inability) to resolve whitepages.co.nz. Likewise with Yellowpages.co.nz. So if you're going to point finger, at least troubleshoot it properly. :-) [And yes, I did whois both yellowpages.co.nz and whitepages.co.nz - their NS match the DNS. telecom.co.nz's does not.] Disclaimer: The opinions posted here are mine and don't represent anyone or any company that I may have present, future or past relationships with.
