I don't think John ever set foot in that router, we had long since banished him from ops by then, I was lucky enough to install it. It was one of the two (HNBR1 and HNCR1) that ran for over a year and a half without a reload. It had only a minor outage when the NZIX coax T-joint disconnected itself under the floor tiles, honestly ... it wasn't my fault. Them were the glory days ... New Zealand's routing table in IGRP (no not EIGRP), 24 routers connected via Coax and a 1.5Mbps Frame Relay link to the US.
