relax and take the pills man.. and it you note, I emailed you... NOT THE LIST ! If Cisco now produces an oc3 card at less than 10k it is news to me ( used NOT included ) , especially since I have been using and buying Cisco's since they produced their first router. ( my first was a pair of mgx's )

Hello,
That is what you think. You are entitled to your opinion.
I have checked my list and there are at least 3 OC3 modules all well under $3,000 NZD.
I have had several emails about this today. I am really not interested in getting into a debate with, or answer time-consuming support questions, with people who clearly have no intention of actually buying anything and/or aren't actually trying to learn anything of technical value.
I have already been stuffed around this week by an overseas list member, who got me to order in several hundred dollars worth of stuff especially for him, and then as soon as I had done this, he disappeared.
I am very happy to assist list members with quick questions or if they want to buy anything. However, like every other business in the NZ computer industry, there is limits.

Not at all. I can offer a Cisco solution that would likely leave change out of $5K or $6K.
Kind regards,

Oooooh, your clients are in for a bit of a shock. ATM and
low cost do
not go in the same sentence together. ISPs who have bought Cisco equipment capable of ATM have spent 10s of thousands for
the correct
ATM card and the modular chassis to go with it.
On the other hand, if you are prepared to be a bit experimental you may be able to use a PC installed with Linux and a
supported PCI ATM
card. I've never seen anyone try it though.
Regards, RH.
