Both Voda and T/com prioritized getting geni's to effected sites as top priority early yesterday. At this point I believe all XT sites that were effected are were not trashed are on Geni where power is still not back (this was less than a handful), Voda had more sites down in total from last official media statement I read yesterday. T/com also have significant number of CDMA towers down/damaged as well in addition to the XT ones. I have not heard anything out of 2Deg's that seems somewhat official. Sorry I'm all the way up in Sweden but the thought had crossed my mind that bringing up as many cell sites as possible off battery backup would / could save lives if there are still people trapped in buildings with cellphones. Perhaps anyone with knowledge of people with local portable generators could help out (?). Probably messy but if it brings up even a few cell sites in central it could help (maybe this has already been done).
