Thanks for the replies offlist. As recomended by a couple of people, we ended up just firing up a few ec2 instances and running lookups in parallel across all of them. Problem is we need to get whois data for them but we ran into the dnc's limits. Any way to get around the limits? We tried reaching out to them but all they could suggest was going via a registrar.
