It's pretty easy to keep a cage nut tool around. It surprises me how many people have never even heard of one, given they ship with racks and stuff.
I'm with Lindsay on this. If your cage nuts are hard to get in and out, buy some that aren't. Easily inserted cage nuts are always going to be faster to rig than anything that requires a tool, no matter how good the tool is. And Joe, the scar tissue forms a protective layer eventually. -- don
