We're having a number of customers complain about email not being delivered over the Xtra network. Error messages being submitted to us are similar to:

Apr 24 00:00:37 web1 postfix/smtp[14312]: 999977E99E: to=, orig_to=, relay=mta.xtra.co.nz[210.54.141.1], delay=7174, status=deferred (host mta.xtra.co.nz[210.54.141.1] said: 421 Message rejected (in reply to end of DATA command))

What really takes the biscuit is that customers who call Xtra are told that it's a fault of someone else i.e ours !! We're happy to take calls from these customers, but we would like to give them the right information, unlike Xtra is doing !

Yeah, me too please. I've heard rumours of both rate-limiting and spam filtering (I'm seeing both "421 Message rejected" after DATA and "421 Service not available"). Any chance of having anything confirmed one way or another? It would be much appreciated. -Mike
