Just sharing a bit of knowledge around issues we've had with Fortigate firewalls on UFB Accelerate plans.��

Some of our customers reported slow download speeds (generally close to 2Mbps) when using Fortigate D series firewalls on UFB 200/100 (tested with 30, 60 and 90 models). The issue is caused by the units dropping inbound packets with the DEI bit set and showed up on 5.0 and 5.2 software.

After some extensive troubleshooting with Fortinet they've eventually acknowledged the fault and moved it to their bug queue. Hopefully a fix isn't too far away.

If you're currently battling this issue, a tested workaround would be to configure the circuit as untagged. Chorus should also be able to disable the DEI bit marking on a per service provider basis but better think twice before requesting it.
