Amen to that. There are also some specific problems with V12. PPP mulitlink can cause lots of problem. If you have strange problems, crash, restart, hanging, dropping links... and are using ppp multilink, try to turn it off. Sure, 12.0x is really immature right now and full of bugs. Try the most recent 12.0x release and see if that makes your problems go away.
Experience says release start to get usable around about '10 and stable about '16 or so -- so you still have a while to wait.
