Why not?
Because it's too fast for most of them to deal with. I've heard you can speeds of up to 2Mb/s on these interfaces - what could anyone possible want that for? (:-) Seriously, the only reason anyone would want this slow crap is that it's all the telcos want to provide because they've got this huge legacy investment in that technology and most of the people working in them have their heads too far up their asses. Remember when ISDN stood for Incredibly Slow Dumb Networking - that label now applies to this.
