Hi all,
I would like to confirm my interest in the conference.
Great.
However I am somewhat sick and tired of the large amount of E-Mail this has generated in my inbox. (30+ messages per day). o
Well this thread of yours has just consumed 10 of those emails today =) See how innocently it starts. I bet you never meant to have it go like this =) We neither really did we.
I would anticipate attending the conference to learn more about something, however I would prefer that the minority who wish to have a protracted debate on what this "something" is could do so in private, and then when they have made their mind up- then send the ideas to the list. Any comments?
Ahhhhh if only it were that easy. Did you read Andy's (Linton) email about there being too much secretism in ISOCNZ? Well thats all that I was trying to avoid here. How would you all feel if I took off and decided myself what you were all going to see at a conference? Yeah - thought so, there is a good chance that there would be whinging about that. So really there is no way to win here. If you have the discussion in the open, then people moan about noise. If you have it behind doors then people also call foul.
Based on what I have seen, I would like to learm more about the cable network setup/s. (As covered in recent posts). Beyond that, I am happy with whatever else. Hence, I only need one email to express my interest.
Great - then stop saying anything else on this thread and perhaps the others will too. Lets hope that this can be the last message (I'm not holding my breath though). Dean PS. Note that there are no non-retorical questions in thos post - there is nothing that you need to reply to.
