Hi Michael In over 3 years of running Paradise we have had one complaint about the inability to 'opt out' of this policy. We don't block mail, we block insecure mail servers (those that are known to allow spam to be sent through them) from connecting to our mail servers (and consequently deliver any email to our customers). We don't try to determine whether the message that was attempting to be delivered by such a server was in fact spam or not, consequently, it is entirely possible that someone trying to send a message to one of our customers that one would consider to be 'other emails' would not get through, it would however, be bounced and the sender would normally learn the reason their message could not be delivered to our customer. It would come back with one of the following: 550 Rejected - see http://www.mail-abuse.org/rbl/ 550 Open spam relay - see http://www.mail-abuse.org/rss 550 Dialup - see http://www.mail-abuse.org/dul/ I would also recommend having a look at http://mail-abuse.org/rbl/rationale.html if you have not read it before, particularly the Rights to Passage section. Sorry I am not free to discuss this with you on the telephone. A copy of this message has been sent to other network and ISP operators as well as Quentin Bright, the media relations contact for TelstraSaturn. Could you give me a ring to discuss this?
