Great move, thanks for the update Joe.
I know we'll be moving from 220 Queen to MDR shortly as it's a better meet
spot for a regional operator like us linking between exchanges rather than
data-centres.
Thought I'd welcome new peers that have joined AKL-IX in recent months:
Wireless Nation, TradeMe, HD, 2Degrees, Now and Compass.
We're still missing:
- Vodafone (come on guys, moving packets to you through Sydney is dumb)
- Spark (having grandfathered your local peering service, show your
existing & potential wholesale customers some goodwill)
- Trustpower
- UberGroup
- Primo Wireless
- Voyager
- Mediaworks
- Actrix
- Sitehost (I think MDR is convenient for you guys?)
If I've named your network it's because we do a sizeable amount of traffic
from or to you.
Here's my Christmas offer:
If you're from one of the above networks and you make a commitment to
peering in the next 6 months, I'll send you a box of beers. Send me an
off-list reply email. Offer expires 25/12/15 :)

Hey all,
Firstly sorry not sorry if this email is off topic. :)
I will keep this brief. AKL-IX MDR pop is now live. As we are still waiting for the Society to be Incorporated we will be offering trials for peers interconnecting at MDR. If you would like to hook up please drop me an email and we can get the ball rolling!
Cheers Joe
