Having gone through significant discussion on the key length issue we are happy to acknowledge that the consensus on NZNOG is for us to increase our KSK size to 2048 bits for the following reason: - The community view is that 2048 bits is an appropriate key length based on the common practice in other registries and that view accepts that the increased resource implications of this key size are not significant enough to consider a shorter key size. Before we commit to that we would like to hear if there is any feedback from the NZISIG folks as they may usefully contribute to the debate. cheers Jay -- Jay Daley Chief Executive .nz Registry Services (New Zealand Domain Name Registry Limited) desk: +64 4 931 6977 mobile: +64 21 678840
