Invitation to Meeting

Hi,

InternetNZ would like to invite you to a meeting about icode, which was developed by industry in Australia to help inform, educate and protect their customers in relation to cybersecurity. The main speaker is Peter Coroneos, departing Chief Executive of IIA (Internet Industry Association). The meeting willprovide a unique opportunity to get first-hand information about the successes and challenges in developing and implementing this voluntary code of practice for Australian ISPs and Telcos.

In turn, these insights will help shape New Zealands own understanding of this path. This is in line with the recently announced National Cyber Security Strategy, in particular the longer-term initiative Progress work with Internet Service Providers to develop appropriate solutions to address cyber security issues, such as infected computers and botnets.

Date: Thursday 30 June, 2011 (This is on the evening of the NetHui conference but does not require registration to NetHui)

Time: 5.30pm - 6.30pm

Place: Level 4, SkyCity Convention Centre.

Please RSVP to rsvp@internetnz.net.nz

I look forward to meeting you later this month.

Yours sincerely

Vikram Kumar

Chief Executive
