But you know, all of these prices would be great, if TCNZ were restricting their 20c/meg excess charge to INTERNATIONAL traffic only and chucking in domestic for free. Which was what I was hoping to see in this latest announcement. But, alas, I am once again over-optimistic.

What I'm personally finding most amazing is how our friendly national telecoms operators continue to market bandwidth intensive wireless services, remote connectivity/collaboration and all the generally snazzy things you can do with the wonders of PDAs, tablets, smartphones, etc without offering the pricing model to back it up and ensure any kind of reasonable take up of the services. Telecom doesn't seem to be able to offer any kind of reasonably priced fixed line broadband access, let alone anything in the area of wireless. Here's hoping that other wireless services break down the barriers and render the incumbents vulnerable to the whims of a competitive market eh? Chad Wilson
