I am positing (and I am by no means using any known info) that this could be a change related to the Vodafone ownership. Can anyone on "Vodafone" ADSL (actually from vodafone) or someone with a vodafone mobile (I can't check with mine for a little while) give us a trace route so we can see their path?
Regards
Alexander

One useful aspect of this list is to allow people to ask if an issue (perceived or otherwise) is a general one or just effects them or their providers. In this case, seeing as no one else has confirmed it for the OP, I can confirm that traffic to 8.8.8.8 via the Global Gateway, Vocus and CallPlus networks is still routing to Sydney at sub 30ms rates. I would suggest that the OP (and others if desired) might want to log a call with Vodafone and ask them to look at it.
